Babergh Domestic Violence & Abuse Forum
Cathy Press has been involved with the Babergh Domestic Violence and Abuse Forum since it was founded in 2001. She has been the Chair since 2002 during which time the multi agency forum have achieved the following:
- Developed a range of projects
- Developed a support group for survivors
- Developed a befriending service for survivors
- Run pilot projects around training and research
- Developed protocol, policy and procedure in response to domestic violence
- And instigated various awareness raising events
Babergh Domestic Violence and Absue Forum also house The Survivor Stories DVD Project A resource and training tool depicting the lives and diversity of survivors, their strength and tenacity in their struggle to be free from domestic violence and abuse.
